PERRY MERIDIAN RTC
At Perry Meridian RTC we are committed to improving every athlete that comes to train. We focus on Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman. The room will be filled with wrestlers from around the state, and neighboring states that have been successful at all levels of the sport. Our RTC will be coached by the Perry Meridian coaching staff, and guest clinicians throughout the season. Not only is our goal to improve each athlete, but we also strive to make the state of Indiana the best it can be at the national level.

ANGEL ESCOBEDO
One of the most successful wrestlers in Indiana University history, Coach Angel Escobedo became the eighth head coach in program history on April 6, 2018.

Coach Escobedo 4x Indiana High School State Champion and was a dominant wrestler for the Hoosiers from 2007-10. As a sophomore, he won the 2008 NCAA title at 125 pounds, and he captured Big Ten titles in the weight class three times (2008-10). He’s the program’s only four-time All-American, and his 137 career wins (second) and 42 pins (third) rank among the best in IU history.
After wrapping up his IU career in 2010, Coach Escobedo competed internationally and was a member of Team USA. Among his top performances was a fifth-place finish at the 2013 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, and a second-place finish at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto.

CHAD RED
Chad Red has been coaching wrestling for over 25 years. He began his wrestling at the age of 4. His accomplishments include High School Freetyle All American and Junior College All American. He wrestled at Lincoln college from 1993-1995. After Lincoln College Red made the move to The University of Indianapolis where Chad was a 2x time national qualifier and MVP of the team. He wrestled 126 and had a record of 66 -16. Chad earned his Bachelor's degree in sports administration in 1997. Red a is Silver Certificate USA Wrestling card holder.
